Skin

The largest organ of the body and the organ most often neglected is the skin. Complaints range from inflammatory conditions, including Eczema & Psoriasis, wrinkles, pigmentation, thin skin, dull and uneven texture, as well as lumps, bumps and moles. Care of your skin should be a daily and life-long exercise, including the daily application of a broad-spectrum sun crème. Skin assessment of lumps, bumps and moles should be carried out by Board certified (GMC Specialist registered) Consultant Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists as, too often, skin cancers are missed and incorrectly treated by clinicians and therapists to the later detriment of the person mistreated. Nowhere does the adage of “what the mind doesn’t know, the eye won’t see” apply. Many forms of skin rejuvenation and “anti-ageing” treatments exist, often with a multimodal approach being the best.
